Beehives serve as homes for bees. In the Super Smash Bros. series, the Beehives from the Animal Crossing series are an item in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

If a beehive is thrown on the ground, a number of bees emerge from the beehive and swarm around a random opponent, constantly dealing a small amount of damage, as well as damaging any nearby opponents, before they disappear. If the beehive hits a specific player, then the bees target that player. The beehive can also be attacked and destroyed, which results in the bees targeting the player that destroys the beehive.

67: Animal Crossing: New Leaf Flag of USA.png An example of fine architecture constructed by insects, these bees are not shy about defending their hard work. Throw this at an enemy to direct their hate at that player. If the bees are after you, you can shake them for a while with some evasive maneuvers, but they'll track you down.
Flag of Europe.png Bees don't like it when people destroy their home, so if you break a beehive, they'll come out looking for revenge. Even if you innocently had the beehive thrown at you, you'll be the target. You can dodge all you want, but they'll probably get you in the end, and their stings'll do a LOT of damage.
