CDs are a type of item found in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. During a match, a CD may appear randomly throughout any part of the game, but only for a short time. When a CD is collected, a random song is unlocked, and can replayed from My Music. If a CPU fighter picks up a CD, it is not collected after the match.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, if Mew is released from a Poké Ball, it drops a CD, but if all songs are unlocked, it instead drops a sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl or, in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, a Custom Part or a Trophy.

Both games have a trophy depicting three CDs. The Super Smash Bros. Brawl trophy has the plural name "CDs", but Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has the singular name "CD" instead.

You can set the percentage chances for which songs appear in My Music. It's fun to choose songs according to your tastes. Each CD contains one song to increase your music library. Be sure to grab them when you see them. Once you've got all the music that's in the game, CDs will stop appearing.

4: Items and Rewards Flag of USA.png These elusive items are no good to you at all during battle, but picking up one adds a new song to your growing music collection. You can then give it a listen in Sounds and use My Music to set how often you'll hear it in battles. Yes, it IS a shame you can't also throw a CD at a foe, but not everything in your life is for throwing at people.
