Chef Kawasaki is a recurring enemy and an occasional ally in the Kirby franchise. Whenever Kirby inhales and swallows Chef Kawasaki, he gains the Cook ability. Chef Kawasaki's first Super Smash Bros.-related appearance was in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as a sticker.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Chef Kawasaki appears as an Assist Trophy and has his own spirit. When summoned, Chef Kawasaki extends his ladle and traps anyone it hits into a boiling pot, then begins to stir and season the pot for a brief period of time. After that, multiple food items and any opponents inside the pot are launched out. Chef Kawasaki then produces another plate of food. Chef Kawasaki acts very similar to Kirby's Final Smash, Cook Kirby, in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
