Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Cracker Launcher is an item that only appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Once a player's fighter grabs one, they can shoot from it if the player presses the attack button. The Cracker Launcher shoots fireworks that explode on contact with opponents or the ground. Fighters can walk and jump while holding the Cracker Launcher, and they can adjust the launcher's angle with the Control Stick (+Control Pad for the horizontal Wii Remote control scheme).

The last shot of a Cracker Launcher is colored more vividly and has a longer steam trail, indicating that the item is out of ammo. To change direction, fighters must dash the opposite direction, and cannot perform mid-air jumps or use their shields while holding this item. The Cracker Launcher is hard to carry because other fighters can simply attack the item's wielder to make them drop it.

Well, OK, actually it just launches flashy fireworks. You can adjust the barrel angle to change your shot trajectories to blast those in front of you and even above you. It's a great item to have around. Be warned--the recoil pushes you in the opposite direction in which you're firing.
