Giga Bowser is a boss fought in the Adventure mode of Super Smash Bros. Melee. He later appears as a boss in the World of Light mode in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, Bowser would assume the form of Giga Bowser during his Final Smash, which itself is named Giga Bowser. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Bowser was given a different Final Smash, Giga Bowser Punch, which involves him transforming into Giga Bowser and punching fighters within his target.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, in order to fight Giga Bowser, the player must clear Adventure on Normal or a higher difficulty setting within 18 minutes or less. Giga Bowser appears once Bowser has been defeated. If the player's fighter defeats Giga Bowser without using any continues, they are rewarded the Giga Bowser trophy. Giga Bowser is fought as one of the opponents in the event match, Lv. 51: The Showdown.
