The Tank & Infantry, known as Infantry & Tanks (also formatted Infantry and Tanks[1]) prior to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, are two units in the Wars series. They are basic units of each warring nations, colored as red, which is the player's side, and blue, which is an enemy's side.

Infantry & Tanks appear as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. They take an 8-bit forms and colored red like the original Famicom Wars and later installments of Wars series. When they are summoned, an alarm will sound as they will move to one side, shooting opponents with guns and blasting them with cannons. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Infantry & Tanks are unlockable, and can be unlocked by playing at least 300 matches in Brawl or related modes. The Infantry & Tanks trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl has a very similar depiction to their artwork for the same game.

Although Infantry & Tanks do not appear as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, they are featured as a spirit.

Units first introduced in Famicom Wars, where they fight battles against enemy forces. Infantry are the least expensive to deploy of all units. They're not too strong, but they move well and can capture property. There are two tank types: tank A, which is expensive but has good mobility and firepower, and tank B, which is cheaper but can change battles with sheer numbers.

If summoned, these two form up on the player who activated them. Don't underestimate them just 'cause they're pixels–the infantry's gun and tank's cannon are formidable.
Flag of Europe.png Two units from Famicom wars. In this game, they'll appear in pixel form on both sides of the character that called them up. The infantry then fire their guns while the tanks use cannon fire and drive into people. Cute as they are, don't underestimate them or you'll find yourself in a world of hurt!
