Koffing is a Poison-type Pokémon introduced in the Game Boy games, Pocket Monsters Red and Green Versions (released internationally as Pokémon Red and Blue Versions). It evolves into Weezing at level 35.

In Super Smash Bros., Koffing appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon. When summoned, it uses Poison Gas, which continuously damages any opponents near it. It also damages any opponents that touch it. While Koffing does not appear in Super Smash Bros. Melee, it is replaced by its evolution Weezing, which uses the same attack with the same effect.

Koffing reappears as an enemy in Smash Run mode in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. After inflating itself for a while, Koffing releases Poison Gas, which damages the fighter while lowering their stats. When the Koffing is defeated, these stats are automatically restored without having to be collected. In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Koffing appear in Smash Tour, in which it releases a Smokescreen that obscures the entire board for one turn.
