Lottery

The Lottery is a mode in Super Smash Bros. Melee, accessed via the Trophies menu. Here, the player can use the Coins that they have collected to try and win a trophy from a vending machine. There is a notice at the top that states the percent chance of the player acquiring a new trophy. Inserting more Coins increases the player's chance of acquiring a new trophy, especially if they have already acquired several of them. Up to 20 Coins can be inserted at a time. Even after all trophies have been obtained, it is still possible to use the Lottery, but the notice will always say that there is a zero percent chance of obtaining a new trophy. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Lottery has been replaced with the Coin Launcher.
