Mavhas are enemies which first appeared in Kid Icarus: Uprsing. A Mahva can fly around and protect itself and its allies with a force field; its force field can push Pit away and can only be broken by attacking it.
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Mahvas appear as enemies in Smash Run. They retain their behavior from Kid Icarus: Uprising, and their force field can push the player's fighter, who can attack the force field to destroy it. If a short amount of time after its force field has passed, it will generate another force field.

Enemy | A strange, fishlike thing that shrouds itself in a large, spherical barrier. When it sees one of its allies, it extends the barrier to protect them as well. As you attack the barrier, it'll slowly change color until it finally breaks. That's when the Mahva will try to escape. Finish it off before it does to nab yourself some defense stat boosts! |
