Mr. Saturns are alien-like creatures from the EarthBound series, in which they reside in Saturn Valley and have their own distinct language.

Starting with Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mr. Saturns appear as weak throwable items in the Super Smash Bros. series. While they normally walk around on the stage, they can be picked up and thrown at another player for minor damage. Mr. Saturns deal a lot of shield damage, and in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, a thrown Mr. Saturn can instantly break another player's shield. Peach (and Daisy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate), when doing her Vegetable move, has a small (1/166) chance of pulling up a Mr. Saturn instead of a vegetable.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, during Stage 9: Onett of Adventure mode, Mr. Saturns are the only items that appear.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, a Mr. Saturn hat that Mii Fighters can wear, can be unlocked for 450 G.

The origins of the Mr. Saturn race are unknown, but many believe they came from outer space. They reside in Saturn Valley and speak their own unique language. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mr. Saturn is just another item with which to pelt foes. These guys are laid back and not into fighting, so you can rest easy ...or can you?
