Octoroks are octopus-like enemies from The Legend of Zelda franchise. They appear in a few Super Smash Bros. games, with Super Smash Bros. Melee being their first appearance in the series. Octoroks appear in either red or purple, depending on which game they appear in.
History[edit]
Super Smash Bros. Melee[edit]
In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Octoroks appear as enemies in the Underground Maze of Adventure mode. Their appearance is reused from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. They attack by spitting rocks at the fighters. They also appear during Versus Mode hidden in carrier items along with ReDeads, Goombas, and other creatures found in Adventure Mode, although this occurrence is rare.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS[edit]
Octoroks return as enemies in the Smash Run mode of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. Their appearance is taken from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Octoroks attack by spitting rocks at the fighters. While hiding in the ground, Octoroks cannot be damaged from any attack, although they can still be grabbed and thrown.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, there is an Octorok spirit, which also has its The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword design.
