PSI Magnet is a PSI attack from the EarthBound series. It was later adapted into the Super Smash Bros. series as the down special move used by Ness and Lucas since their debut in Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, respectively.

Upon using PSI Magnet, Ness or Lucas put up a field of energy that absorbs projectiles to recover damage; Ness puts his up around himself, while Lucas puts it up in front of himself, though he turns around when hit from behind. Lucas also recovers more damage than Ness. In addition, when the attack ends, Ness pushes away any nearby opponents or items, while Lucas deals an attack.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, Ness's PSI Magnet has two customizable variants: PSI Vacuum and Forward PSI Magnet. PSI Vacuum does not have health recovery properties but draws in opponents to damage them when the attack is finished. Forward PSI Magnet behaves like Lucas's PSI Magnet.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Ness's PSI Magnet damages opponents who are near it and push them toward him.
