This article is about the most common suit of armor worn by Samus Aran. For the Final Smash, see Power Suit Samus.

The Power Suit is Samus Aran's standard and most common suit in the Metroid franchise.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, activating Samus's Final Smash, the Zero Laser, will cause her armor to break apart and Samus will transform into Zero Suit Samus at the end. The pieces of the armor can then be picked up by any fighter and thrown like an item. The armor will also break and drop if the player selects Zero Suit Samus from the character select screen, which is done by holding down the shield button when selecting Samus, and when she enters the fight or if the player repeatedly alternates between Samus's up and down Taunt to transform mid-fight. Activating Zero Suit Samus's Final Smash, Power Suit Samus, will rebuild the armor.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Samus's Power Suit does not break into pieces after she uses her Final Smash because Samus and Zero Suit Samus were made separate fighters, and Zero Suit Samus instead has Gunship as her Final Smash.

Although the armor is called the Power Suit in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the armor itself resembles the Varia Suit, specifically from Metroid Prime.
