Super Dragon
Super Dragon is Yoshi's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. It is based on Yoshi's Red Shell and Blue Shell abilities from Super Mario World, which respectively grant the ability to breathe fire and fly.
Upon activating the Final Smash, Yoshi becomes a Winged Yoshi, allowing him to freely fly around the stage. Yoshi can ram into opponents to damage them, as well as exhale fire either as a continuous stream (which occurs when the attack button is not pressed), or in the form of a large Fireball (which occurs every time the attack button is pressed). In this form, Yoshi cannot be KO'd by passing the blast lines, and he cannot be damaged. After some time has passed, the Final Smash wears off. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Fireball explodes on contact with an opponent, whereas it pierces opponents in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U.
There is a trophy of Yoshi using the Super Dragon move in both Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. In both games, the Super Dragon trophy depicts Yoshi shooting fireballs at two Goombas and one Koopa Troopa. In the former game, Yoshi's saddle is missing.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Yoshi's Final Smash is replaced with Stampede!.

Trivia[edit]
- The name also originates from Super Mario World; in the Japanese version the Message Block at Yoshi's House is signed "Super Dragon Yoshi", which was changed to simply "Yoshi" in the English releases; in the remake Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, however, once the game is cleared the text is signed "Super Dragon Yoshi" in all versions.
