Tether recovery

Tether recovery[1][2] is a recovery technique used in every Super Smash Bros. game since Super Smash Bros. Melee. It allows the fighter to cling onto the stage, using a chain-like item. The chain then retracts, slowly bringing the player back up to the stage. The tactic usually has a large range, and can reach out very far, but is ineffective if no target is hit. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, only three characters have a tether recovery move, Link, Young Link and Samus.
